Golden City was created by 6 students as the proof of concept for a game our group designed for our AAS degree in Interactive Game and Simulation Design. It is a tower defense shooter where the player must defend the Golden City with the aid of the powerful Greek Gods (through the use of customizable powers and upgrades) and the city's mighty cannon.
Game Premise:
In the land of the Golden City, gold is used as an energy source to power everything. As it is used, its energy becomes depleted and it turns to dust. The nations of the
world are running out of their best source of power. All nations but one.
You come from a people who are descendants of King Midas. They hold great power, and through ancient rituals can turn any substance into gold. The other nations have pooled their resources and are launching attacks on the great Golden City to capture the source of their power. You are called upon to defend it!
